Your Challenge Today:
Ambition and persistence…
By Bernadette Kathryn, LMT, IHLC
Ambition is the path to success.
Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.
~ Bill Bradley
Ambition is the path …
… a strong desire to do or to achieve something, through determination and hard work. It is an earnest desire for some achievement or distinction, as power, honor, fame, or wealth, and the willingness to strive for its attainment.
Persistence is the vehicle …
… obstinate continuance in the course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. The continued or prolonged existence of something that leads you to your desire, the vehicle.
This game is about creating a healthy lifestyle that involves all aspects of our lives. We genuinely believe that a healthy lifestyle is a conglomeration of factors that influence our health directly and indirectly. Often we may have one or two areas of our life working well and are in sync with our goals while another one or two areas seem to elude our grasp, that’s why we create Smart Goals. Our Smart Goals are the road maps of our lives, guiding and directing our actions, choices, and focus.
Our Ambition guides our Smart Goals and desire for more ~ more love, more meaning, more adventure, more achievement, more of whatever moves us. And, Persistence is the vehicle that drives us to our destination of success. We need both to create the life of our dreams, we need a strong, burning desire to accomplish something meaningful to us and we need the dig down deep determination and persistence that will drive us all the way to the finish line of victory.
Everything we do and set out to do is going to be more comfortable when we feel good ~ physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey; it doesn’t matter what your personal goals are, it does matter that you have something in your life that makes your heart sing and moves you forward with your ambition.
Take a look at the Wheel of Health and all the components that affect your health ~, directly and indirectly, ~ what’s next on your agenda? What do you need or want to do next that will feed your body, mind, and spirit?

I would say that for the last 2 days and today I am mostly focused on professional development; or in this case professional maintanence since I am using all my resources to get through these long work days not feeling very well. Therefore no exercise, comfort foods, lots of water and rest when I can. That’s also personal development; knowing my limits!
Excellent – Pamela — knowing your limits is definitely personal development. Get well soon 🙂 xoxoxo
