An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
~ Henry David Thoreau
Beginning your day with an invigorating walk has many benefits. It gives you a natural energy boost and you start your day with vitality. Working out and moving early in the morning is a blessing for the whole day because it ensures greater mental sharpness for the rest of the day. You will feel more fresh throughout the day, as opposed to when you wake up late and scramble to get yourself together. The temperature during the morning is usually much more conducive to exercising as well, with no sun to bother you. It’s really the ideal time to exercise, give it your all and check it off the list for the day!
An exhilarating walk first thing in the morning ensures that you begin your day alert and energized. Walking improves your circulation and that means a greater amount of oxygen reaches the brain, bonus! Your mind is stimulated as well as your body.
Improved circulation leads to improved mental awareness and enhanced memory. Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco confirmed that age-related mental decline is less in people who walk daily. Exercise and improved circulation lower the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia in elderly people. So put on your walking shoes in the morning and strut your way to better mental health, improved fitness and increased productivity. You will feel the blessing for the whole day!

Thanks for the reminder as I sit and wonder if I should do more tasks on the computer before I swim! I will do it now! I have to say, however, that I have been able to schedule a mid day swim on days when I start in the office really early and have a mid day break. That’s fun too!
i am best in the mornings. if i put off exercising until the afternoon it probably won’t happen! exercise clears my mind, helps me organize my thoughts, relaxes me………………what a great way to start the day. exercise also cheers me up, it really doesn’t matter how fast or how hard i do it, what matters is that i have done it!
