The Objectives of this game are simple:

The Living Fit Game is intended to give you a motivational boost and support to reach your wellness goals! It does not serve as a weight-loss or fitness program. We aim to make it fun for you to lose weight by engaging in a game of social-wellness with your friends and family. And, since we don’t know you personally (and even if we did) we can’t advise you properly on how to lose weight. The objective of the game is to support you in your quest to improve your overall health and wellness by making sensible, sustainable lifestyle changes on a daily basis.

Quick weight loss methods aren’t sufficient to achieve lasting results. Weight loss methods that rely on diet aids like drinks, prepackaged foods, or diet pills don’t work in the long run. Although the Living Fit Game may be a catalyst for changing your habits, the most important changes are long term. No matter how much (or little) weight you have to lose, modest goals and a slow course will increase your chances of both losing the weight and keeping it off. Don’t do dumb things to lose weight!

This is a game of Social Wellness:

Note that we may recommend certain approaches and products from time to time on our site and in our emails but you should consult a professional before acting on our advice. Everything that we suggest is optional. Each individual must assess the best choices for themselves. Certain exercises are better for some and not appropriate for others ~ as are food choices. Make your personal decisions wisely and you will ultimately benefit from leading a clean, living fit lifestyle!

Fish & Shellfish

Light and Spicy Gumbo

Gumbo is a classic southern dish full of zesty flavor, nourishing vegetables and lean protein. Naturally, I have adapted the classic to fit my more figure conscience needs. I have kept all the flavor and ditched the extra calories...

Lemon Sole with Escarole

My mom used to make a wonderful tangy fish dish when I was growing up ~ she used a white fish and cooked it in stewed tomatoes with a lot of lemon and served it over rice to soak up all the tangy sauce, yum!

Thai Coconut Shrimp Soup

I think with all the snow this year in the North East, everyone can agree that it's definitely soup season around here. We need something easy to cook, filling, comforting and divinely delicious. This is it today!

Corn Shrimp Crepes

The beauty of crepes is that you can freeze them and then have an elegant wrapper for your Sunday Brunch when you are ready, this makes your weekend so much more enjoyable and relaxing.

Miso Glazed Cod Stir Fry

Fish is a perfect lean protein for a quick and elegant meal any night of the week that you want to get dinner on the table in a hurry.

Shrimp Bisque

This is a surprisingly easy soup to make that is incredibly comforting, satisfying, delicious, low-fat and fully sanctioned!

Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad

While a Caesar salad is not exactly on the low-cal, low-fat circuit of good dietary recommendations ~ it absolutely can be made to accommodate the Living Fit Lifestyle.

Fish Shrimp Cakes

I generally serve them with a summer salad mixed with avocado, organic corn and whatever fresh vegetables I can find at the market. An excellent sanctioned meal!

Paleo Paella

A lighter, cleaner version of a classic -- trimmed down for health conscious bodies!

Mustard Crusted Salmon

The tangy taste of mustard mixed with the silky texture of salmon, and all the great fish oil which is so good for my body inside and out.

Nicoise Salad

I think you can put what ever ingredient you like into any salad, that's what is fun for me in the kitchen. There are rules and rules are meant to be broken sometimes.

Shrimp Pad Thai

An excellent alternative to the traditional -- it includes all the flavor, fun and power packs it with extra vegetables so we can all stay on point with our Living Fit Lifestyle program.

Basic Shrimp Stock

Learning to cook ahead of your immediate needs and keeping a well-stocked pantry and freezer full of items to help you make luxurious meals in a flash, is going to be your best strategy for eating healthy and staying on point with the program.

Smoked Gumbo Cake

Do you like crab cakes? I do, they are one of my favorite things to eat out in a 'good' seafood restaurant. I have to admit, more often than not I am disappointed with the offerings, I usually find the crab cakes too expensive and not enough substance for my money.

Zesty Gumbo

Very little shouts "LOUISIANA!" louder than a great shrimp gumbo. We love this classic and have updated it for the gluten free era. With tender shrimp, spiced chicken and chunks of andouille sausage, this gumbo is the full mardi-gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
