Note to self:
Dreams can come true …
You have to dream
before your dreams can come true.
Dreams can come true, we are miraculous beings capable of greatness. As children, we spent most of our time dreaming and playing make-believe with ourselves, siblings, and our friends. We were not hindered by limitations imposed by society, it was considered healthy to play, pretend and explore our world while developing our imagination.
I had all kinds of dreams as a child, I loved my Barbie dolls and all the glamorous clothing my mom made me for them — so I would dream of the day that I would grow up, dress up and be glamorous, just like Barbie! I dreamed of being a fashion model, a lawyer, a Judge, a teacher, a social worker, owning a restaurant, and running a bed and breakfast. I have to say, never did I dream of being an Integrative Health & Lifestyle Coach, but I suppose looking back that is a combination of a teacher, model, and social worker of sorts.
What were your childhood dreams? What are you dreaming of today? How have your dreams changed since you were a child? Are you living the life you imagined? Are there any similarities? Do you have new aspirations that you want to pursue? Are they work dreams or play dreams? Promotions in your career or fantasies for your free time? Are there skills that you want to develop? Do you have hobby interest that you want to pursue? Do you want to travel, dance, play an instrument, build a house, get a dog or have a child?
What changes in your lifestyle are you contemplating? Do you want to get fit, run a corporate race, play on a sports team, take up tennis or ballroom dancing? Do you want to learn to cook, hire a chef, signup for a food delivery service? What changes are you interested in making that will support your Living Fit Lifestyle?
