i am adding mindful awareness to my exercise plan. in the past i would go to the gym and follow the plan established by my personal trainer. i trusted this certified, friendly individual with my personal needs. this plan worked fine until recently. now that i have special needs due to an injury i feel that i know my body better and after 40+ years of training i can exercise on my own safely. i have begun to walk at a moderate rate and work with weights but with careful awareness. so far, so good. and i remember to breathe correctly while exercising and take time after i exercise to stretch and do relaxation techniques.
guess who was my first personal trainer? non other than……………..Bernadette! what a great start that was!
