I arrived in Manhattan 25 years ago.
I started working in health and fitness, in part, because I was not a healthy child. Seeing that my habits were not heading down a healthy path, I wanted to create a vibrant life for myself. I did not have good eating habits growing up and was not into sports or exercise as a child. Basically, I was a couch potato and I loved to eat all the wrong stuff!
One of the greatest pleasures of my life has been working with many amazing people over the years and it is with great pride that I can say – most of my clients are still with me today, 25 years later. I feel very blessed and honored to be a part of their lives, to be trusted and respected by these amazing, accomplished individuals.
I am a:
- Classically Trained Chef
- Certified Fitness Trainer
- Licensed Massage Therapist
- Integrative Health & Lifestyle Coach
Some of my highlights
I have a passion for food. We all have to eat and I believe it can be healthy and taste good. So, I studied Spa cuisine at the Institute of Culinary Education and am a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City. I wanted to embrace the need and desire for delicious, mouth watering tasty food that I wanted while holding true to my own commitment to improving my health.
Growing up with food allergies, I know how challenging it can be to go out with friends and enjoy eating the same way as everyone else, it can’t really be done. It was definitely a downer to some degree and when I was recently diagnosed with Gluten sensitivity, I had to embrace a new and more difficult challenge.
In my quest for improved health, I became familiar with the concept of BALANCE. We all need it in our lives, in our fitness programs, in our food plans and within all of our commitments. It is the BALANCE that keeps us healthy. I am not a crazy food and exercise Nazi; I don’t like the idea of working out until you cry or eating only fat free, low-fat, sugar free, salt free, flavor free food to be lean.
The goal is finding
HEALTH & BALANCE
We all need to find our own BALANCE within our world of exercise and eating because each of us is unique. What works for one will not necessarily work for another. There is not one way to approach a healthy lifestyle. Everyone has different needs that must be respected to create the balance which will ultimately lead to good health and allow us to have a life of fulfillment.
