Your Daily Challenge:
Believe in the beauty of the dream!
By Bernadette Kathryn, LMT, IHLC
The future belongs to those who believe
in the beauty of the dream.
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
Believing is half the battle of making dreams come true. The power of visualization, planning, dreaming, organizing and working to make your dreams a reality is the kind of nourishment that food cannot provide.
- Dreams feed our souls and spirits.
- Dreams are opportunities to express our passion and talents.
- Dreams give us the ‘jazz’ to get up and get things accomplished.
- Dreams provide the juice for our day, the excitement that makes us squeal.
When we are working on something that we are passionate about, we are fulfilled in a way that is hard to describe, yet is as important as the food we eat.
What have you been dreaming of lately?
Where is the beauty in your dreams?
What dreams are in your future?
What gets you ‘jazzed’ to get up in the morning?
My dream is to take more risks, try new things, and show up more in the world. Related to this is not taking things so personally, and growing more self compassion.
I think that I am taking small steps in that direction.
i’ve been daydreaming of getting back into knitting. my greatest challenge is to sort through the bins of old yarns to find a project i’m interested in. i excel at beginning a project but lose interest in the middle and usually the project gets put away.
thinking about this behavior pattern, it sums up my typical approach to “getting things done”. when i was finishing up a filing project the other day, i found a bag of papers from 1996! that’s what i call procrastination.
my personal challenge: only start a project if i plan on seeing it through to the end.
i am passionate about being a better me. this is my dream.
