Weekly Challenge:
Choose your starting point for your next step …
By Bernadette Kathryn, LMT, IHLC
There are only two mistakes
one can make along the road to truth;
not going all the way, and not starting.
~ Buddha
The starting point of one goal can be disguised as the ending of a previous goal … the reality is that we are never at a stopping point … where are you on your journey? According to Buddha, we can potentially make two mistakes along the road to truth ~ (1) not going all the way and (2) not starting.
I am not interested in negative self-talk, berating myself for not reaching my goals or feeling sorry for myself when things don’t go as planned, which can certainly happen. What I do like is to evaluate the recent past, look at what worked, what didn’t work and what needs to happen to proceed. The evaluation process is essential for progress ~ it’s all about collecting information. Information is the key to progress and once we come to a cross-road in life, we need information to make an educated decision moving forward.
Now is the time for us to take a deeper look at the past weeks of this game and our Smart Goals and evaluate what happened, where we were on point with our goals and where we need to tighten up our plan, re-focus our energy and organize our next steps. Armed with the information we gathered from this evaluation, let’s look at our intentions for the future.

Ironically I want to start the moving forward process by looking back.
I have made some really strong changes in my life, had many achievements and never really stopped to cerebrate them.
So the next thing for me, is building my confidence so I can resolutely accept any challenge put in front of me. Be able to say a consent “yes” where before the was a nervous “maybe”. The construction of a a merited sense of self belief is my path forward
my next goal is to getting back to basics. go back to the foundations of a healthy body, mind and soul. my weak spots have been self evident in the past 6 weeks. i am thankful i am still here to move on. it has been tough.
Staying in the conversation and observation with yourself shows your commitment to your health ~ you are doing great and you will continue to build upon your healthy experiences as you go. Thank you for playing with us and sharing!
I need to continue to get creative with training therapists. I need to find a way to make it not so daunting to do all the organizational work. I need to remember that I get tremendous fulfillment from my work, and schedule more regular vacations so I don’t simply fantasize about retiring!
