Your can have results …

You can have results or you can have your excuses.
You cannot have both.

Sometimes it is tricky to look at our lives and identify the issues and excuses that get in the way of our exercise or whatever else we are trying not to do! We all have things we don’t want to do ~ laundry, filing, taxes, accounting, dishes, cooking, exercise ~ whatever it is that we are avoiding, we have to look at it honestly and ask ourselves:
- Is this something that I really have to do?
- What will happen if it doesn’t get completed?
- Can I delegate it?
If this question is about exercise ~ the answer is YOU have to do it yourself! No other person can do it for you, Guidelines for the Game … you and only you! If the question is about anything else, you may be able to come up with a different solution and the best solution may be tossing the idea altogether or delegating the duty to another person … get it off your plate. Free yourself from the burden of things piling up and creating an undercurrent of stress that you don’t need.
This type of ‘holding on’ to things that we don’t need creates clutter in our lives, our psyche and our bodies.
- Stress is known to create belly fat
- Clutter is known to create stress
- Stress is known to interfere with sleeping
- Lack of sleep is known to create belly fat!
So, if you want to reduce your belly fat — lose that muffin top — clean up the clutter, get rid of the excuses, get moving, get your life and body in order!
Come up with several creative ideas to work around these issues and excuses
that you are holding on to!
Well said Debbie — I usually go for spicy chips (I like the organic red hot blues… love the spice) … I think that’s an indication to me that I need to master the blend(?)……when I am in a mood and stressed — eat em up, chalk it off to my meal off and commit again….. I am a work in progress.
and i also believe stress leads to lack of control over what i eat! for example: for breakfast this morning i had………………cookies! unexpected stressful day ahead, my mood went from up to down and so did my energy levels. plan for remainder of day? drink my water, go for a walk and try my best to cope. tomorrow is another day. no wonder my belly is growing 🙂
