Treat others as you want to be treated ~ the Golden Rule ~ lead by example. I love this and sometimes, it’s very hard. Have you ever had that feeling?

 

I want to lead by example and then when I feel like the message is not being received or appreciated, I want to give the other person a taste of their own medicine. I sometimes find myself smack dab in the middle of these two spectrums and not really knowing which choice to make. Ultimately I know the message is for me is to look for a way to honor both parties while holding respectable boundaries. My quest is to respect myself, my needs, and the integrity of my commitments.

 

I know from experience that things are often very hard when you ‘have to’ do it, the sense of obligation can feel negative. The desire that comes with wanting to do something adds that spark of ‘something, something’ that gives us juice! The kind of excitement that fuels our imagination, feeds our soul and inspires us to want to do more and be more, that’s what we are looking for. When you look deep into your heart and soul, what do you feel a burning desire for? What if you don’t feel a burning desire, what do you feel compelled to do? Where do you feel called to spend your time and energy? What activities give you a warm, fuzzy feeling of satisfaction?

 

When we are striving to change out-dated habits and behavior, working to improve and upgrade our health and life through exercise and nutritional changes — it’s a great idea to have support and make it fun! Invest a little time in evaluating your options for exercise, explore activities that you think might be fun. Participating in an activity that you enjoy greatly increases your success rate and creating a sustainable Living Fit Lifestyle is what we are going for, right?
