Yes, happiness is harmony. Happiness is dancing, running and laughing. Happiness is friends, family and consistency. Happiness is loving yourself and loving what you do. Happiness is confidence in yourself and your choices. Happiness is enjoying the little things in life that greet us everyday.
Happiness comes in many small packages throughout our days and lives. Many tiny moments can bring happiness to us everyday ~ and yes ~ some days are better than others. The trick is to enjoy the moments that make up our lives. Practice success rituals that support our happiness and give us the ‘growing edge’ to string together more happiness than not. We cannot expect to always win, always be happy, always have what we want ~ but we can give ourselves the best opportunity to enjoy our moments and celebrate our lives with happiness.
There has been much in the news lately about the science of happiness, universities are offering courses on happiness and there are many books on the subject of happiness that we can investigate in an effort to increase our happiness factor! We do know certain things definitely support your personal happiness:
- A daily gratitude practice
- Journaling – focusing on positive experiences
- Exercising daily
- Meditation
- Ramdom Acts of Kindness

Regarding the concept of journaling about 1 positive event in the last 24 hours; I realize that Sam and I do that every morning. We talk about and savor our favoirte part of how we spent the previous evening. We start the day happy!
