Your Challenge Today:
Transform it …
By Bernadette Kathryn, LMT, IHLC
Don’t spend time beating on a wall,
hoping to transform it into a door.
~ Coco Chanel
Transformation is the word of the day!
Some different perspectives on what a transformation can be:
- A thorough or dynamic change in form or appearance
- A metamorphosis in the life cycle of an animal — us perhaps?
- An operation that converts you into a v2.0
How do you spend your time, invest in yourself, to create the change that you desire? Are you working smartly or beating on a wall hoping to transform it into a door? It’s sometimes easy to get lost on the path to wellness and wonders what happened, where am I going, why are my efforts not working as I would like? There are so many components that can block our progress on any given path, and part of the journey is to play detective or hire a detective to help you find the missing links in the puzzle.
We have many kinds of ‘detectives’ available to help us on our journey to health, wealth and wholeness. We have doctors, physical therapists, psychotherapy, massage therapy, personal trainers, nutritionists, health coaches ~ specialists of all kinds ready, willing and able to help us unravel the mysteries that hinder our progress. If you are not getting the results you are working toward, then maybe you are at a “wall” and are now “trying to transform it into a door.” Time for a transformation; a change that will create the results you desire. Seek the help you need in the form of books, consultations, tests, training, supervision; whatever you need help with, get it!

change is a challenge. this current change may be up there as one of the greatest challenges i have encountered. i am becoming less dependent on outside help around the house. i don’t have time to beat on any walls. i may shed a few tears of frustration and self pity but, then it’s back to work. i’m surprised at how i’m figuring things out and coming up with solutions, all on my own.
I have been noticing how I am almost always moving, getting stuff done, which is really good; however I get burnt out. Then I find myself needing to colapse. What I need to do better is weave more break time into my days.
