If you wait for the right time
or the good times to start … you wait all your life.

How do you know when it’s time? Time to get married, start a family, build a house, change career or jobs, move to a new state or country — how do you know? These are big questions, and I have heard some people say — they knew absolutely, could feel it in their bones. I have heard others say — ya never really know, ya gotta be willing to take a risk, jump in and do your best, there are no guarantees in life.
I suppose it’s right at both ends of the spectrum for most people — sometimes you get goosebumps or some other visceral feeling that indicates your intuition is telling you which way to go. And, sometimes, you don’t know and have to make a pro & cons list to evaluate your thinking in black and white and consult with a professional before taking a risk. Maybe you meditate or pray and ask for guidance, that’s what I like to do, meditate, pray, consult with trusted professionals and listen to my intuition. I find that when I am willing to ask and listen the universe provides the guidance. Sometimes it may not look like I think it should, but when I keep my eyes and ears open, I usually find the answer I am seeking.
How do you know when it’s time to jump into a project, make a commitment or take a risk?
What happens when you complete a big project, do you take a break, relax and enjoy your success? Or do you flounder around feeling lost, without a focus, wondering what to do next? Here is where your Hot 100 list comes into play. What do you want to do, be and have in your life? When you have a list of books that you want to read, movies you want to see, places you want to visit, projects that you want to complete you can rest assured that you will always have a place to go when you are wondering what’s next.
Whatever it is you want to do, be or have in your life, it’s ultimately up to you to go and get it — and ask yourself — If not now, when? When would be a good time to _________________? When I was in my 20s I wore a button every day that said “Don’t Postpone Joy”. Ever since Sam came into my life that motto has been front and center in my life. Not only are we each joyful people, but our synergistic joy is amazing. If not now; when? Don’t postpone! Therefore, since Sam and I had that instant visceral knowing, we are not postponing, and we are (so far) always on the same page with this.
