The Objectives of this game are simple:

The Living Fit Game is intended to give you a motivational boost and support to reach your wellness goals! It does not serve as a weight-loss or fitness program. We aim to make it fun for you to lose weight by engaging in a game of social-wellness with your friends and family. And, since we don’t know you personally (and even if we did) we can’t advise you properly on how to lose weight. The objective of the game is to support you in your quest to improve your overall health and wellness by making sensible, sustainable lifestyle changes on a daily basis.

Quick weight loss methods aren’t sufficient to achieve lasting results. Weight loss methods that rely on diet aids like drinks, prepackaged foods, or diet pills don’t work in the long run. Although the Living Fit Game may be a catalyst for changing your habits, the most important changes are long term. No matter how much (or little) weight you have to lose, modest goals and a slow course will increase your chances of both losing the weight and keeping it off. Don’t do dumb things to lose weight!

This is a game of Social Wellness:

Note that we may recommend certain approaches and products from time to time on our site and in our emails but you should consult a professional before acting on our advice. Everything that we suggest is optional. Each individual must assess the best choices for themselves. Certain exercises are better for some and not appropriate for others ~ as are food choices. Make your personal decisions wisely and you will ultimately benefit from leading a clean, living fit lifestyle!

Gluten Free Granola

Granola is one of those recipes that can be adapted according to your personal taste preferences or even dictated by what you have in the pantry.

Easy Chicken Spring Roll Recipe

I love the fresh flavors of Asian cuisine -- tangy lime, salty tamari, toasted sesame all blended with fresh crunchy vegetables and roasted chicken. A super healthy alternative to take out with all of the fun, zest and tastiness you can possibly want.

Italian Meatballs

Growing up with an Italian mother, we had LOTS of pasta sauce of many different kinds, it was one of the highlights of my day. Often, I would wake up in the morning to the amazing smell of food cooking on the stove.

Smoked Gumbo Cake

Do you like crab cakes? I do, they are one of my favorite things to eat out in a 'good' seafood restaurant. I have to admit, more often than not I am disappointed with the offerings, I usually find the crab cakes too expensive and not enough substance for my money.

Bacon Swiss Chard Quiche

Quiche is a wonderful snack or main course. Once I found a good recipe for a gluten free crust, I had to practice with it. It felt like a duty -- test it and make sure it is real, I am not dreaming.

Curried Chicken Salad

Barbara and I went to culinary school together a few years ago at The French Culinary Institute in New York City. We had lots of fun, long nights and hard work getting our feet wet at school and working in the school restaurant L'Ecole .

Zesty Gumbo

Very little shouts "LOUISIANA!" louder than a great shrimp gumbo. We love this classic and have updated it for the gluten free era. With tender shrimp, spiced chicken and chunks of andouille sausage, this gumbo is the full mardi-gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
